Job summary

Next Level Staffing, Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Person to perform repair, install, troubleshoot, and maintain various shredders, balers, shears, and conveyors. The role emphasizes welding, lubrication, bearing work and system diagnostics to maximize equipment uptime.

The candidate should be able to set up and adjust drives, replace belts, service hydraulic and pneumatic components, and operate lifting equipment safely in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform essential maintenance duties including welding, lubrication and belt/drive adjustments.
• Experience with conveyors, bearings, piping and hydraulic/pneumatic systems is preferred.
• Regular attendance and safe work practices are required.

Responsibilities

• Select and ensure the proper use of lubricants for all equipment and machines.

• Assist other maintenance personnel and operate company vehicle to pick up parts.

JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Team Leader, the Maintenance Person performs repairing, installing, troubleshooting, set up and adjusting, welding, torching, and lubrication activities, ensuring the maximum utilization of the company's machines and equipment, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform maintenance tasks such as welding, changing filters, greasing and oiling all shredders, balers, shears, and conveyors, and other similar duties.
• Select and ensure the proper use of lubricants for all equipment and machines.
• Set and adjust bearings, replace and adjust belts, drives, idlers, etc.
• Perform maintenance of drive components, install and adjust equipment, and charge, adjust, and align conveyors, idlers, etc.
• Perform system maintenance on conveyor drive systems, including belt repair and installation, take-up and roller alignment, bearing care and replacement, etc.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairing of bushings, shims, etc.
• Install, maintain and repack bearings, pumps and cylinders.
• Install, maintain and replace seals.
• Maintain filter systems.
• Install, operate and perform scheduled maintenance activities of pumps and mechanical drives.
• Troubleshoot and replace reducers, gears, bearings, shafts, etc.
• Install and maintain piping systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair machine mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems, and mechanical and fluid drive systems problems.
• Install tubing and hose systems.
• Install and maintain valves.
• Install equipment, including the alignment, grouting, leveling, anchoring, etc.
• Assist other maintenance personnel to move and position parts, materials, tools, etc. and to disassemble and reassemble machines and equipment.
• Operate company vehicle to pick up parts and materials in local area.
• Operate power lift equipment to move and position material and supplies.
• Assure rigging is proper, safe and appropriate for the lift involved.
• Perform intermediate torching activities as directed.
• Notify supervisor of any problems or concerns related to equipment, tools, etc.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc.
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
• Plan work sequences to ensure the most effective completion of work assignments.
• Act as a technical resource to address and resolve inquires and problems.
