Job summary

PADNOS in Roseville, Michigan seeks a Scrap Scale Associate to inspect, grade, and purchase non-ferrous materials, recording transactions and supporting packaging and shipping to fulfill sales orders. The role emphasizes a customer-focused experience for material deliverers.

Responsibilities include weighing/inspecting scrap, sorting materials, data entry, operating equipment, maintaining a clean work area, and inventory/shipment support.

Qualifications

• Six months operating small equipment experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Accuracy in operation and attention to detail.
• Knowledge in inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers regarding the purchase of their materials
• Weigh and inspect all incoming non-ferrous customer scrap
• Identify and sort materials, removing and/or upgrading when possible
• Input and record transaction data in computer systemOperate hi-lo, loader and/or manual processing equipment as needed
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
• Inventory and ship material as needed
