Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a laborer to join an outdoor scrap metal yard team. You will unload, process, disassemble metal parts, and help with yard cleanup and maintenance in a safety-conscious environment.

The role requires physical labor, ability to learn new tasks, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. Employment includes benefits and weekly pay with opportunities for bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must pass a medical physical and drug test.
• Must pass a background check.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand directions; basic math skills.
• Willingness to learn how to sort metal and properly use PPE.

Responsibilities

• Unload pallets, boxes, and bundles.
• Material handling / sorting – pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and filling hoppers and belts.
• Disassemble small equipment and remove components.
• Operate metal processing tools and assist with machinery when needed.
• Assist with yard traffic and general housekeeping.
• Provide light maintenance and inventory organization.
