Job summary

Real Salt Lake is seeking a Camps Program Manager to plan and execute youth soccer camps, tournaments, and community programming. You will lead program operations, staffing, safety, customer service, and partnerships to deliver exceptional experiences for participants and families.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of experience in youth sports programs, strong organization, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience managing youth sports programs, camps, or related activities.
  • Valid Utah Driver’s License (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, problem-solve, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with parents, athletes, staff, and community partners.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with registration or inventory systems preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel based on camp and event schedules.
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain SafeSport certification.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, promote, and execute youth soccer camps, tournaments, and community partnership events—including curriculum development.
  • Ensure participant safety by implementing safety protocols, emergency procedures, and child protection standards.
  • Assess program performance and identify opportunities for growth, improvement, and future offerings.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, evaluate, and manage part‑time staff and volunteers.
  • Manage relationships and performance expectations with contracted camp service providers.
  • Partner with Marketing to drive registration, web content, social media, and promotional initiatives.
  • Assist in developing, administering, and monitoring program and payroll budgets.
  • Purchase, maintain, and inventory camp equipment, apparel, and supplies.
  • Provide responsive, professional customer service—address inquiries, resolve concerns, and ensure positive participant experiences.
  • Ensure timely collection and reconciliation of program fees.
  • Prepare accurate reports, documentation, records, and performance summaries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Recreation, Physical Education, Sports Science or other closely related field; Or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • USSF National C License preferred or D minimum (or equivalent)
  • Spanish‑Bilingual preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, or lifting equipment up to 15 lbs and occasional lifting over 50 lbs. Work occurs in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in varying weather conditions. Computer work, phone use, and extended periods of activity are required.
