Responsibilities

• Obtains and prepares supplies and instruments according to physician preferences; restocks supplies, and maintains endoscopy rooms.
• Assists in scheduling and rescheduling of patients.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
• Promotes professional growth by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency; supports department goals; serves as preceptor and mentor.

Job Summary Scope Reprocessing Endoscopy Tech

• Full time; 7am-5:30pm (10 hr shifts, day off TBD)
• 1+ year of Endo tech, Sterile Processing or High Level Disinfection (HLD) experience preferred
• This position is responsible for maintaining the scopes for Endoscopy. Will also be responsible for documenting and maintaining all scope logs for High Level Disinfection (HLD). Will be the go to person for all surveyors that come to the department (TJC, TDH, etc.)
• This position is located at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center.
• Position responsible for assisting the physician in the operating room/endoscopy services under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an Endoscopy Technician Certification Program or one year of equivalent healthcare experience required.

Licenses/Certifications: (None) Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to perform basic mathematical calculations.
