Position Overview

The Scissor Operator will support construction crews by operating the MBI scissor lift, ensuring safety, quality standards, and assisting in roofing and other construction tasks. The role involves following safety policies, maintaining equipment, and adhering to construction plans.

Compensation: $26.00 to $31.50 per hour, depending on experience and location.

Responsibilities

• Schedule trucks for projects, mainly roofs and ceilings.
• Work safely and productively with crew members, respecting everyone.
• Travel as needed for projects.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment according to guidelines.
• Follow safety procedures, including power line and fall protection protocols.

Qualifications

• Active Class B CDL with airbrake endorsements and ability to operate standard/manual transmissions.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Comply with safety equipment weight limits.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Work at heights up to 40 feet in physically demanding environments.
• Experience or interest in carpentry or roofing.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel up to 90%, including overnight stays.
