Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Ph.D. scientist to join our dynamic research team investigating the cellular mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and other neurodegenerative disorders. The successful candidate will design and execute cutting-edge research aimed at elucidating how cellular dysfunction drives disease pathogenesis and progression. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful discoveries within a highly collaborative and innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and analyze in vitro and ex vivo experiments to study cellular processes relevant to Alzheimer’s disease, including neuronal signaling, protein trafficking, protein aggregation, neuroinflammation, and synaptic plasticity.
  • Develop and apply a range of cellular and molecular biology techniques, including cell culture, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, live-cell imaging, and molecular assays (e.g., mRNA isolation, qPCR, ELISA, Western blotting).
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data; troubleshoot technical challenges as needed.
  • Stay current with scientific literature and actively contribute to the development of research strategies and project ideas.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Cell Biology, or a related field.
  • Strong background in cell biology techniques and experimental design.
  • Hands-on experience with neuronal cell culture and/or primary neuronal cultures is highly desirable.
  • Experience with oligonucleotide therapeutics and/or protein degraders is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with cellular function analysis techniques, such as microscopy and biochemical assays.
  • Strong interest in neurodegenerative disease research, particularly Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Experience with animal models of neurological diseases is an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of neurodegenerative disease mechanisms and cellular pathways.
