Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with immunoassay techniques (ELISA/ELLA) is required
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and data interpretation skills

Location: Philadelphia, PA Compensation: $40-50/hr Schedule: M-F, 1st shift Duration: 6-12months (potential to extend or go perm) Summary The Scientist will support execution of routine molecular and immunoassay-based analytical methods and testing across the company portfolio of product candidates, including therapeutic viruses and viral vectors. The Scientist will contribute to experimental design and execution of routine characterization studies to support CMC development, with an emphasis on immunoassay and molecular/genomic techniques. The Scientist will report into a Director of Product Sciences and collaborate closely with the Analytical and Product Science (APS) team under guidance of the VP of APS. Responsibilities • Execute sample testing using immunoassay-based methods (e.g., ELLA, ELISA) and molecular/genomic methods (e.g., DNA extraction, qPCR, ddPCR) • Contribute to product and method understanding; support the design of meaningful experiments to generate reliable data; adjust methods to meet information needs for the Tech Ops team • Support troubleshooting of analytical experimentation and help drive workflow and process optimization • Provide effective and collaborative analytical support to cross-functional teams • Communicate scientific data and information effectively through presentations, protocols, test methods, and reports • Timely and accurate documentation of data, including quality ELN entries Qualifications Required Experience & Skills: • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience in biopharma industry • 2-4 years experience in a QC, routine testing setting, or similar highly preferred. • Experience with molecular and genomic analytical techniques including strong platform knowledge of ddPCR and PCR based methods for nucleic acid quantification and detection • Experience with immunoassay-based analytical techniques including ELISA or ELLA platform knowledge • Experience with sample testing and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation • Effective oral and written communication skills complemented by focus on attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness • Firm commitment to “on-the-bench” experimental and laboratory work, with the ability to execute and troubleshoot experiments under guidance, and to analyze, interpret, and clearly communicate data • Desire to learn, gain, and grow new skills, and apply new and existing knowledge adaptably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Preferred Experience & Skills: • Experience with experimental design, data analysis and data interpretation • Familiarity with foundational concepts of analytical development and controlled assay execution • Extensive practical platform experience with ELLA, ELISA, DNA extraction, qPCR, and ddPCR • Data documentation and experience with Benchling or electronic notebook entries • P#1 Send resumes to [e-mail]
