Job description

Job Summary

You will work in a fast- paced environment, support all R&D platforms, especially flavor and scent delivery projects. The position requires conducting bench research in the area of gas chromatography and sample preparation. Deep understanding of the quantitative analysis, instrumentation, chromatographic theory is desired.
In this position, you will work under group leader, conducting routine analysis as well as developing new method. The role also involves understanding customer needs, project development employing knowledge of organic, analytical and physical chemistry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, setup and execute experiment (60%)
  • Analyze data, accurately document experiments, present data, propose next steps (30%)
  • Participate in Department meetings and other R&D activities (10%)

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrate track record of sample preparation in complex matrices.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge in chromatographic separations especially in the area of gas chromatography.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in target compound quantitation using chromatographic methods.
  • Demonstrated sufficient knowledge in chromatographic instrumentation and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Requirements:

  • MS degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field with more than 5 years of industrial experience, or Bachelor with more than 10 years' experience in sample preparation, automation, chromatography and other relevant analysis techniques.
