Dawar Consulting is seeking a Scientist II (Oligonucleotide Synthesis) in South San Francisco, CA, to join a world-leading biotech team. The role focuses on oligonucleotide therapeutics discovery, including synthesis, characterization, and cross-functional collaboration across neuroscience, immunology, and oncology programs.

The successful candidate will design and execute synthesis workflows, perform HPLC and MS analysis, and help scale lead oligonucleotide candidates for preclinical studies,

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Organic Chemistry or related field.
• Hands-on experience with oligonucleotide synthesis, purification, and characterization.
• Experience with automated oligo synthesizers, HPLC, and mass spectrometry.
• Understanding of RNAi, nucleic acid therapeutics, and modification chemistries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute oligonucleotide synthesis and purification workflows.
• Perform HPLC and mass spectrometer analysis for characterization and impurity profiling.
• Support RNAi and nucleic acid therapeutic discovery across neuroscience, immunology, and oncology programs.
• Develop and scale up synthesis of lead oligonucleotide candidates for pre clinical studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate chemistry and biology data.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment (e.g., oligo synthesizers, HPLC systems).
• Conduct literature reviews and contribute to experimental design and strategy.
