The role focuses on high-throughput binding and functional assays to support project decisions, emphasizing antibody characterization, cell line maintenance, data analysis, and automation protocol standardization. The candidate will work with immortalized cell lines, perform antibody binding and functional assays, and contribute to the development of standardized screening

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education + 5 years of biotech/pharma experience.
• Master's degree or equivalent education + 2 years of biotech/pharma experience.
• Experience in high-throughput screening, including troubleshooting with Flow.
• Strong understanding of screening workflows.
• Experience performing cell culture under SOP/GLP standards.
• Familiarity with ELISA and target binding assays.
• Experience with functional cellular assays.
• Excellent communication across broad audiences.
• Ability to work effectively with internal, external, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain immortalized mammalian cell lines expressing target proteins.
• Support sourcing of internal and commercial reagents for screening assays.
• Use established high-throughput workflows for antibody binding, internalization, and potency characterization.
• Work with automated liquid-handling systems.

Contract: 1 year to start

Interviews: 1 virtual screen + 2nd round onsite

We are seeking a Scientist II to join the Cell and Functional Biology team within Biotherapeutics Discovery.

This role will focus on high-throughput binding and functional assays to support data-driven decisions for project and pipeline advancement. The primary focus will be antibody characterization, including antibody screening, cell line maintenance, data analysis, and standardization of automation-related protocols.

• Maintain immortalized mammalian cell lines expressing target overexpressing and native targets
• Support sourcing of internal and commercial reagents for screening assays
• Utilize established high-throughput workflows for antibody binding, internalization, and potency characterization
• Work with automated liquid-handling systems
• Execute binding, internalization, and reporter assay experiments
• Analyze antibody binding specificity, internalization capability, and potency using flow binding and assay platforms
• Develop and standardize screening workflows, assay protocols, and automation procedures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education + 5 years of relevant biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience
• OR
• Master's degree or equivalent education + 2 years of relevant experience
• High-throughput screening experience, including troubleshooting with Flow
• Strong understanding of screening workflows
• Experience performing cell culture under SOP/GLP standards
• Familiarity with:
