Job summary

The Fountain Group seeks a Scientist II in Lake County, IL, onsite, to support PET tracer metabolite analysis and radiotracer production activities. The role requires strong chemistry expertise, HPLC and LC/MS, with PET radiochemistry preferred.

Typical contract is 2 years with possible extension; compensation is $50-55/hour on W2, commensurate with experience and performance; relocation at own expense may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field with at least five years of experience, or
• Master's degree in chemistry or related field with at least three years of research experience
• Must have experience with HPLC and LC/MS.

Responsibilities

• Support setup and optimization of HPLC systems for PET tracer metabolite analysis.
• Perform daily operation of HPLC systems used for metabolite analysis.
• Conduct routine PET radiotracer production activities.
• Independently establish HPLC methods and ensure robustness and reliability of systems.
• Document experimental procedures, results, and laboratory activities per applicable standards.
• Follow all relevant laboratory safety, quality, and compliance requirements.

• Location: Lake County, IL – 100% onsite – open to candidates willing to relocate at their own expense

Job Description:

Required Skills:

• Master's degree in chemistry or a related scientific discipline with at least three years of research experience
• Must have experience with HPLC and LC/MS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in PET radiochemistry.
• Experience with setting up, optimizing, and maintaining HPLC systems
• Experience with radiotracer production or analytical characterization of PET tracers.
