In this role, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge diagnostic solutions, leveraging your expertise to drive assay development and validation projects. Collaboration is key, as you will interface with cross-functional teams, including bioinformatics, biostatistics, data science, clinical operations, and regulatory affairs. Proficiency in molecular biology methods for nucleic acid characterization and related applications is essential, along with a critical and creative approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities : Initiate, design, and execute experiments to develop and / or improve high-value diagnostic testsUse molecular biology approaches to independently develop and optimize molecular diagnostics assaysPerform basic analysis of high-dimensional data and collaborate with statistics and bioinformatics teams for comprehensive data expert support and guidance regarding experiment design, data analysis, and results to the broader scientific teamCollaborate across multiple departments to ensure seamless integration of scientific insights into broader research goalsDesign, initiate, and execute experiments to develop or enhance high-value diagnostic tests.Qualifications : Ph.D. in genomics, molecular biology, or a related field with 0-2 years of relevant experience (Scientist I) or 2-5 years (Scientist II). Candidates with a BS or MS and significant experience may also be considered. Industry experience developing diagnostic assays is preferred.Solid foundation in molecular biology, with hands-on experience in NGS library preparation and Illumina sequencing platforms. Familiarity with methylation sequencing library preparation is a plus.Expertise in nucleic acid and cell-free DNA extraction techniques.Strong interdisciplinary communication skills to foster collaboration and effective knowledge exchange.Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail, ensuring high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment.Additional Details : Every individual at CareDx has a direct impact on our collective mission to improve the lives of organ transplant patients worldwide.
