Job summary

Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories Professional Scientific Services (PSS) is seeking a Research Associate to support late‑stage cell therapy product development through analytical assay development, qualification, and validation. You will design, plan, execute, and optimize assays, analyze data, and communicate results to internal teams.

The role involves preparing technical documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to lab operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology or related field is required.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience; analytical development or GMP assay validation is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting late-stage development or regulated lab environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports late-stage cell therapy products through analytical assay development, assay qualification/validation, and sample testing activities.
  • Contributes to design, planning, execution, and optimization of assay development and validation studies.
  • Performs experiments, analyzes data, troubleshoots issues, and communicates results to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepares and presents scientific data in reports, team discussions, and department meetings.
  • Provides status updates on activities, risks, and timelines to project teams and management.
  • Supports preparation and review of assay-related documentation (protocols, methods, reports).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support analytical strategy and project execution.
  • Contributes to lab operations including ordering, organization, equipment monitoring, maintenance, and compliance.

Job description

Research Associate responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
  • Supports late-stage cell therapy products through analytical assay development, assay qualification/validation, and sample testing activities.
  • Contributes to the design, planning, execution, and optimization of analytical assay development activities and assay validation studies.
  • Performs experiments, analyzes and interprets data, troubleshoots technical issues, and communicates results and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepares and presents scientific data in technical reports, team discussions, and departmental meetings.
  • Provides clear and proactive status updates on assigned activities, risks, and timelines to project teams and management.
  • Supports preparation and review of assay-related technical documentation, including protocols, methods, and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support analytical strategy and timely project execution.
  • Contributes to laboratory operations, including ordering, organization, equipment monitoring, maintenance, and general laboratory compliance.
The ideal candidate would possess:
  • Strong experience with mammalian cell culture .
  • Hands‑on experience with cell biology analytical methods, including c ell count and viability , high-resolution imaging , live‑cell imaging , and cell‑based potency assays .
  • Experience with fluorescence microscopy, Incucyte, and Cytation instrumentation preferred.
  • Experience with HPLC is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of analytical method development, assay optimization, qualification, and validation in a GMP environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex experimental data, troubleshoot assay performance issues, and support method improvements.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write and review SOPs, technical reports, and scientific documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with peers, managers, and cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Solid understanding of GMP requirements and documentation practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology, or a related scientific discipline required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience ; additional experience in analytical development or GMP assay validation strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting late-stage development or regulated laboratory environments is preferred.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements

Mon-Friday 1st Shift, No weekend or holiday work
