Job summary

Apex Companies seeks a Staff Scientist to join our team in Texas (Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, or Corpus Christi). Apex Companies is looking for a Staff Scientist to join our team in either Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, or Corpus Christi, Texas. This is a remote position but must be located in one of the cities listed.

Your Responsibilities as a Scientist 1 - Staff Scientist:

• Collect soil, water, air, and/or buildingmaterial samples.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
• Input data into template reports.
• Stormwater Inspections.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or other related field.
• 1-2+ years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection.
• Strong technical writing skills, the ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
• Experience with data management and report preparation.
• Valid driver's license, good driving history, and reliable transportationare required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with avian surveys and GIS preferred
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
