Job summary

BD is seeking a Scientist 1, Analytical Chemistry to provide analytical chemistry support and remediation for products on the market and new product development. The role includes participation in stability testing and development/validation of analytical methods for raw materials, in-process, and finished product release testing.

The candidate will perform chemistry and performance testing, data review, report generation, and maintain laboratory operations in an FDA-regulated environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Chemistry / Pharmaceutics with related science experience.
• 2-4 years' experience in pharmaceutical analytical chemistry is essential.
• Hands-on experience with wet-chemistry and instrumental techniques (pH, titration, UV-Vis, GC, HPLC).
• Experience in FDA-regulated environment and GMP documentation requirements.
• Ability to discuss scientific strategies with Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Quality.

Segment/Department Name: Infection Prevention, Analytical Chemistry

Purpose Of Position

This position provides analytical chemistry support and/or remediation to all chemistry-related projects for BD products currently on the market as well as new product development. This position will also participate in the conduct of the stability testing program to support the approval of process and/or product design changes. As needed, this position also supports the development and validation of analytical methodologies for incoming raw materials, in-process, and finished product release testing.

Education

BS/MS in Chemistry / Pharmaceutics with related science experience
