Job summary

Axle seeks a Scientific Program Manager to join NIH NCATS in Rockville, MD, providing comprehensive program support and coordination across multiple NIH institutes and partner agencies.

The role emphasizes budget execution, reports, and data analyses, with responsibilities spanning administrative oversight and development of program materials. Strong communication and biomedical knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of specialized experience plus a bachelor’s degree is equivalent to a master’s degree.
• Master’s degree in molecular biology, microbiology, biomedical engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related project management experience.
• Four years of experience in biology or related field.
• Knowledge of NIH funding mechanisms supporting biomedical research.
• Experience with budget execution and administration duties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate across NIH ICs and partner agencies to support program activities.
• Prepare program documents, meeting notes, summaries, and quarterly reports.
• Provide administrative and program support to ensure efficient operations.
• Develop analyses and evaluations of proposed funding plans and milestones.
• Maintain and update SharePoint sites and related web content.
• Assist in planning workshops, conferences, and interagency meetings.
