Job summary

Indotronix Avani Group in Sparks, MD is seeking a Scientific Operations Technologist for a 12-month assignment to support manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products. You will weigh, measure, and check raw materials to ensure batches contain proper ingredients and quantities, and assist with in-process testing to meet specifications.

Qualifications

• High School degree with 2 years experience in a regulated environment; associates considered.
• Willingness to perform in a GMP-driven manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble clinical and commercial products.
• Weigh, measure, and verify raw materials for correct ingredients and quantities.
• Assist with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications.
• Validate processes and equipment related to filtration, cleaning and sterilization.
• Remove and dispose of waste chemicals, solvents and acids.
• Create solutions, powders, and liquids to meet specifications.
• Provide training support for onboarding and/or new procedures.
• Support the lead/supervisor as needed.
• Provide continuous improvement recommendations to boost efficiency.
• Follow GMP procedures and established work instructions.

Job Description:

• Responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products.
• Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities.
• Assists with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications.
• Responsible for validating processes and equipment that are directly related to filtration, cleaning and sterilization.
• Responsible for the removal and disposal of waste chemicals, solvents and acids.
• Creates solutions, powders, and liquids for batches to meet specifications.
• Provides training support for on-boarding and/or new procedures.
• Provides support to the lead/supervisor when necessary.
• Provides continuous improvement recommendations and/or solutions to support overall operational efficiency.
• Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Qualifications:

• High School degree required with 2 years relevant experience in a regulated environment required. Will consider Associate's degree with a scientific degree and no experience.
