Job summary

Lilly in South San Francisco, CA, seeks a Scientific Lead to advance oncology discovery. You will drive lab-based target validation, study signal transduction in cancer cells, and lead projects with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.

You will design and execute PoC experiments, utilize CRISPR/TALEN and high-throughput screening, and apply multi-omics to reveal mechanisms and biomarkers. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biology or related field with 5+ years lab experience.
• Strong cancer biology background and signaling pathway expertise.
• Publications or drug discovery contributions demonstrated.
• Experience designing and interpreting PoC experiments.
• Expertise in molecular and cellular biology techniques.
• Proficiency with cell culture, assays, and data analysis.
• Excellent collaboration and documenting skills.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and generate mammalian cell models for target validation.
• Design cellular assays to validate targets and support lead progression.
• Execute and optimize high-throughput screening assays.
• Troubleshoot challenges and improve assay performance.
• Investigate cancer signaling pathways and protein interactions.
