Job description

Job Title: Laboratory Technician 3

Location: PARIS, IL

Duration: 6 months on W2

Shift: Mon - Fri, 3rd shift from 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM CST

Job Description:

The Laboratory Technician III will perform routine analytical and laboratory testing to support food safety, quality, and operational teams. Responsibilities include routine analysis of in-process and final products, monitoring instrumentation performance, and documenting test results in databases. Effective communication of results, both verbal and written, is essential.

Responsibilities:
  1. Apply safe laboratory practices to ensure personal and team safety, including equipment checks, safety meetings, and preventive maintenance and calibration of complex instruments.
  2. Support trials and experiments under supervision of senior team members.
  3. Analyze data to identify problems and determine corrective actions.
  4. Assist in evaluating and interpreting complex data, especially atypical test results, consulting with senior staff as needed.
  5. Maintain laboratory supplies by inventorying, ordering, and verifying stock receipt.
  6. Handle clerical, administrative, technical, or customer support issues with minimal supervision, escalating complex issues appropriately.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and management, ISO 17025 standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One or more years of experience in a laboratory or food manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree (entry-level candidates with preferred qualifications are encouraged to apply).
