RTHS seeks Science teachers who are passionate about driving innovative Science instruction for our students. The goal of a Science teaching role is to support effective Science instruction in their respective classrooms and in developing a collaborative department, successful for all students. Our Science teachers work relentlessly with their teammates to ensure that all of their students not only are able to master the discipline‑specific topics set forth in the North Carolina Science standards (NSCOS) but realize life‑long success in STEM fields. RTHS sees success in Science coursework as the gateway to STEM fields in both college and career. This goal is only possible through the support of excellent instruction with a collaborative instructional team deploying next generation instructional and data analysis techniques. Objective success in this role should see the maximum number of students possible demonstrating proficiency on end of year state tests, college readiness exams, growth assessments, and related science assessments.
