Benfica Residential Academy, the world’s premier soccer academy located in Tampa, Florida, brings esteemed SL Benfica’s rich heritage (founded in 1904) and proven training methodologies from Portugal to the United States. This world-class residential soccer academy (coeducational, grades 9-12) is situated at the state-of-the-art campus of Saint Leo University (founded in 1889) and is dedicated to developing youth soccer players. As the academic partner in this innovative model, Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School seeks an experienced, full-time Science teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
Qualifications: Applicants must be committed to the ministry, philosophy, and goals of Catholic education; hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field; possess a valid Florida Department of Education Professional Certificate or Statement of Eligibility in Sciences (grades 6-12); and demonstrate proficiency with instructional technology. A Master’s degree and teaching experience across all high school science levels, including Advanced Placement, are preferred. Familiarity with standards-based assessment, classroom technology integration using Chromebooks, and the ability to teach other high school sciences are advantageous.
