Job summary

Wayne Technical and Career Center (WTCC) in Williamson, NY is seeking a Science Teacher for grades 7-12. This anticipated 1.00 FTE position will start as soon as possible and is located at WTCC in Williamson, NY.

Salary ranges from $52,341 to $61,805, with signs of flexibility based on experience. Benefits include NYS retirement and health and dental insurance. Ideal candidates hold NYS certification in Science 7-12 and may have SWD certification.

Qualifications

• Current NYS certification in Science 7-12 (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Earth Science) with a preference for Physics or Chemistry.
• Candidates with dual certification in Students with Disabilities (SWD) are preferred.
• Broad skill set in effective teaching and learning to engage learners of all levels; knowledge of NYS Learning Standards and Assessments; knowledge of curriculum content and accepted methods of instruction; ability to work collaboratively; excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Provide high-quality instruction to secondary students in a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, a high level of engagement and eagerness to continue to learn and grow.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and community members to ensure continued learning of relevant skills and authentic application of those skills.

• Willingness to develop/grow/promote the program to include all learners.
• Differentiate instruction to ensure all students experience success.
• Must hold a commitment to promoting equity, practicing cultural responsiveness, and creating inclusive environments.
