Job summary

Montgomery Public Schools is seeking a Teacher to deliver instruction and manage classrooms. Reports to the Principal and supervises students and interns to help learners develop subject matter and skills toward responsible citizenship.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in education or related area, and relevant certification or specialization. Candidates should demonstrate professional ethics and the ability to engage families and the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or other acceptable area.
• Relevant certification and expertise in area of specialization.
• For music teachers, excellent hearing and ability to determine pitch and tone variations.
• Physical and emotional ability to perform required work and move about as needed.
• Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

• Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy, and state and federal rules and regulations.
• Engages in personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics.
• Performs other related duties that are required by the principal, superintendent or his/her designee.
