Job summary

Montgomery Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Teacher to foster student learning and growth in a structured classroom environment. The successful candidate will report to the Principal and supervise students and interns as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or other acceptable area.
• Relevant certification and expertise in area of specialization.
• For music teachers, excellent hearing and ability to determine pitch and tone variations.

• Implements activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere.

• Communicates with parents/guardians, colleagues, and community groups.
• Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.
• Maintains and submits records and reports.
• Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy, and state and federal rules and regulations.
• Engages in personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics.
• Performs other related duties that are required by the principal, superintendent or his/her designee.
