We are seeking a science teacher at NC Correctional Institution for Women, Raleigh, NC (Wake County).

The Science Teacher delivers core science content through individual, small group, and whole class instruction, to offenders aged 18 to 22 pursuing high school equivalency diplomas, providing targeted remediation and enrichment as needed.
Reporting to the School Principal, the Science Teacher is a core member of the academic team responsible for implementing the school's vision and goals. The teacher delivers science curriculum to diverse student groups within a medium-custody male correctional facility.
This is a full-time, permanent and continuing position (40 hours per week) with state benefits . This is a year-round position.
Compensation for school education positions is based on the NC Department of Public Instruction's Salary Schedule, approved annually by the NC General Assembly. Pay is determined by years of experience and education level in accordance with the most current legislation.
