GWLAI seeks a collaborative and service-oriented Research Services Librarian for Science and Engineering to join the Research and User Services (RUS) department. RUS is a highly collaborative unit where librarians work together and share responsibility for meeting the full range of student, faculty, and researcher needs across disciplines.

This position plays a vital role in supporting interdisciplinary teaching, research, and publishing, with an emphasis on supporting the natural sciences,

Qualifications

• ALA-accredited Master’s degree in library or information science or equivalent.
• Demonstrated collaboration skills and a commitment to inclusive research community.
• Strong initiative and a results-driven approach.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Awareness of scholarly communication and research trends in academia.
• Experience or potential to support scientific research, instruction, and publishing in science and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide research support and instruction to students, faculty, and researchers.
• Contribute to collection development across disciplines.
• Support interdisciplinary teaching, research, and publishing practices in science and engineering.
• Champion open access, scholarly publishing, and open educational resources (OER).
