The Department of Life Sciences Communication (LSC) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a Teaching Faculty I position to develop, coordinate, and deliver instruction in science communication, digital media, and design courses.

Qualifications

• Experience explaining and presenting complex scientific topics to students and non-technical audiences using clear, accessible, and audience-appropriate language.
• Experience in digital and print media design on science-related content for broad public audiences through print and/or digital channels.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate multiple sections of introductory science communication coursework; supervise graduate teaching assistants.
• Teach advanced courses in digital and print media design and web design for the sciences.
• Assess learner performance and provide constructive feedback; maintain instructional materials and course websites.
• Mentor students, advise, and hold regular office hours; collaborate to advance curriculum and instructional goals.
