Job summary

Data Recognition Corporation in Minnesota is seeking a Test Development Specialist, Science, to develop and deliver content-area test items and ancillaries on schedule. You will work with senior team members to plan workflow and ensure alignment with test specifications and blueprints.

Responsibilities include facilitating item writer workshops, writing and editing items, developing scoring rubrics, and supporting state reviews and sign-offs.

Qualifications

• Three years of teaching experience in grades 6-8 and/or high school science.
• Strong knowledge of the content area and state/national standards.
• Experience writing and editing test items and constructing test forms.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to work in teams and independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop domain-specific specifications and domain-specific test blueprints.
• Develop domain-specific item specifications, art specifications, and style guides.
• Facilitate item writer workshops for a domain or project.
• Write, review, revise, and edit items for a domain and project.
• Develop scoring guidelines and rubrics for constructed-response items and performance tasks.
• Support forms construction and development of test ancillaries.
• Assist with final review and sign-off of test forms and alignments with requirements.
• Coordinate with state departments of education during reviews and standard-setting procedures.
