Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen with TS/SCI clearance at time of appointment.
  • 10 years of experience in program management life cycle, OT&E, and field engineering practices.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Proficient with standard business software and data management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Requirements Officer by conducting research and analysis of requirements to validate proposed technical solutions during LOEs and field exercises.
  • Develop project plans, test plans, and briefs.
  • Data entry and maintenance of databases.
  • Coordinate LOEs and field exercises planning and de-confliction.
  • Conduct research and analysis applying scientific methods on ISR capabilities; provide written analysis of alternatives to meet objectives.
  • Coordinate meeting schedules and provide written minutes.
  • Monitor government and commercial S&T development efforts and integrate new technologies into requirements for projects.
  • Attend meetings and field exercises and deliver After-Action Reports (AAR) and trip reports.
  • Provide admin support and SME on S&T, Requirements, and Resourcing efforts/projects.

Position Overview

Check Defense is a fast-growing federal contractor seeking a Science & Technology Analyst to provide technical, analytical, and program support to Naval Special Warfare Group Eight initiatives involving emerging technologies, capability development, and Special Operations Forces acquisition. The S&T Analyst monitors advances across government, academia, private industry, and the Intelligence Community to identify innovative materiel solutions that address Naval Special Warfare operational gaps.

The position supports the research, development, testing, and evaluation of advanced equipment aligned with U.S. Special Operations Command procurement priorities. The analyst also develops Combat Evaluation proposals and plans, conducts technology assessments, and facilitates coordination among Naval Special Warfare, acquisition organizations, interagency partners, and the Intelligence Community. These efforts support Irregular Strategic Deterrence, counterterrorism, and the Find, Fix, Finish, Exploit, Analyze, and Disseminate targeting cycle.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Requirements Officer by conducting research and analysis of requirements to assist in validating proposed technical solutions during LOEs and field exercises.
  • Develop project plans, test plans, and briefs.
  • Conduct data entry, maintain and update databases.
  • Conduct coordination, planning, and de-confliction of LOEs and field exercises.
  • Conduct research and analysis, apply scientific methods on specialized ISR capabilities, and provide written and/or verbal analysis of alternatives to meet objectives.
  • Coordinate and plan meeting schedules and provide written report of meeting minutes.
  • Monitor government and commercial S&T development efforts and maintain an understanding of available and achievable technologies to be included in requirements for new project development efforts.
  • Attend meetings, LOEs, and field exercises and provide written After-Action Reports (AAR) and/or trip reports of findings that will meet objectives.
  • Provide administrative support and subject matter expertise dealing with other S&T, Requirements, and Resourcing efforts/projects as required.
Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Contractors shall have 10 years of experience within the past 15 years in program management life cycle, as well as operational test and evaluation (OT&E), and field engineering best practices, policies and guidelines.
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license.
  • Be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs.
  • Contractors shall be proficient in the Microsoft office suite, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project and SharePoint 2007 and 2010 (or higher).
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
  • Enter data into multiple databases accurately.
  • Possess a TOP SECRET/SENSITIVE COMPARTMENTED INFORMATION (TS/SCI) at time of appointment.
