Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation.
• Understanding of laws, rules and policies governing instruction.

• Proficiency with computer technology.
• Ability to read, understand and apply English, literacy and math concepts.

Responsibilities

• Identify student needs through ongoing assessment.
• Plan instruction based on identified needs and plan instructional lessons.
• Write instructional plans and use varied materials.
• Maintain an optimal classroom learning environment.
• Evaluate and report student progress to families and administrators.
• Lead parent conferences and participate in professional development.
• Supervise educational assistants and behavior management within the classroom.
• Communicate with colleagues and participate in meetings and committees.
