Job summary

Spray School District is seeking a K-3 Elementary Teacher to deliver district-approved curriculum and support student learning in a collaborative building setting. You will assess student progress, maintain records, and communicate with families and administration to promote student achievement.

The position requires a valid Oregon teaching license for multi-subject self-contained classrooms, with emphasis on pre-K through 4 general education. Prior experience and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or higher in one of: Curriculum, Elementary Education, Reading, Early Childhood Education, or similar.
• Current recognized first aid card or willingness to obtain as directed by the district under ORS 342.664 (2).
• Skills to motivate students and communicate with diverse backgrounds; ability to direct support personnel and evaluate performance.

Responsibilities

• Develops students’ academic and interpersonal skills through curriculum and instructional activities.
• Document teaching and student progress/outcomes and communicate with parents and administration.
• Create a safe and effective learning environment and address individual educational needs.
