• Collaborate with local team for scheduling, client communication and notes

Tutor Pay & Compensation

• $20-$35 per hour base pay
• Up to $40 per hour for select students and specialized assignments
• Performance bonuses tied to student satisfaction, reliability, and other performance criteria
• Semi-monthly pay, flexible scheduling, and the ability to choose students whose availability matches yours

Unlike online-only tutoring platforms and app-based gig tutoring jobs, Tutor Doctor tutors are backed by a dedicated local team — not an algorithm. We personally get to know every tutor and thoughtfully match you to students based on subject expertise, teaching style, student goals, and preferred travel area and availability.

We handle client acquisition, billing, family communication, scheduling coordination, and administrative logistics so you can focus on what you do best: helping students learn, grow, and build confidence.

You’ll also receive:

• Ongoing support from a local team that knows you personally — not a call center
• Detailed student notes, assessments, and instructional resources
• Professional autonomy without micromanagement
• The ability to build meaningful, long-term 1:1 relationships with students, rather than one‑off "drop-in" sessions

Subjects & Specialties We're Hiring For

• Science tutors — physics, chemistry, biology, nursing prerequisites
• Academic coaching — organization, study skills, time management
• Special education & neurodivergent student support — patient, individualized instruction
• Daytime homeschool tutoring — flexible daytime availability

Both generalist tutors and subject‑matter specialists are encouraged to apply. Certified teachers, education professionals, and college‑degree holders in STEM fields are especially welcome. Teaching credentials and experience supporting students with unique learning needs are valuable but not required for every position.

Chandler, Gilbert, Ahwatukee/South Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, and other East Valley communities. Both in‑home and online/virtual tutoring available. Tutors set their own preferred cities, travel radius, subjects, and availability.
