Job summary

The SCI nursing service has an opening for an Assistant Nurse Manager on the SCI-E unit. The ANM will oversee the nursing process for patient care, education, self-management, and customer satisfaction across the continuum of care.

Qualifications include approved nursing education and state licensure, English proficiency, and preferred leadership experience in a spinal cord injury setting. The role requires flexible scheduling to support 24/7 operations within the SCI unit.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency to meet VA requirements.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program with valid state license.
• Foreign education requires degree equivalency if applicable.
• Licensure and certification in nursing as required by VA.
• Ability to obtain and maintain state license and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Nurse Manager in overall management of the SCI unit.
• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate 24/7 operations.
• Provide leadership and ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
• Participate in staff development, performance evaluations and policy updates.
• Support patient education, self-management and care coordination within the unit.
