Job summary

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) seeks an experienced security professional to serve as an Alternate Special Security Officer (ASSO) for the Field Intelligence Element (FIE) at our Seattle campus. The role oversees SCI/SCIF security, special access programs, and personnel security, with duties including escorted visits and after-hours responses.

The ideal candidate will have compliance with IC requirements, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to changing mission

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant security experience with DOE, DoD, DHS, or intelligence community settings.
• Experience supporting IC sponsors or intelligence community requirements is preferred.
• Active DOE Q or equivalent clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Alternate Special Security Officer (ASSO) for FIE at the Seattle campus.
• Safeguard SCI/SCIF facilities, support special access and personnel security programs.
• Escort uncleared visitors, perform inspections, and respond to after-hours events.
• Complete required security course work within one year of hire.
