Cargill in Schuyler, NE is seeking a dedicated Electrical Technician for the 2nd shift. Position focuses on installing and maintaining electrical equipment, troubleshooting systems, and supporting plant operations to ensure safe, reliable performance.

Applicants must meet safety standards, read blueprints, work with instruments like multi-meters and PLCs, and be able to work extended hours, weekends or holidays as needed. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Journeyman license or higher preferred.
2-year degree in electromechanical, electrical system, or equivalent preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Must be able to perform electrical maintenance tasks and operate relevant tools.

Responsibilities

Assist in design of electrical projects and install electrical equipment.
Coordinate efforts with other workers involved in installing and maintaining equipment or components.
Consult with operators, supervisors, and engineers to plan layout of equipment and resolve problems.
Determine feasibility of using standardized equipment and develop specifications for equipment required to perform additional functions.
Work with voltage levels up to 480, 4160.
Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.
