Job summary

Ohio County Board of Education seeks a Wellness Coach at Wheeling Middle School for the 2026-2027 year. The role involves leading the wellness council, organizing events, and documenting activities to align with county wellness goals. A stipend is provided if duties are fulfilled.

This extracurricular, contract/hourly position reports to the Principal and supports district wellness objectives during the 200-day term.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating school wellness activities.
• Ability to plan and schedule wellness events with documents.
• Strong communication with parents, staff and administration.
• Familiarity with school wellness policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the school's wellness council and coordinate with the Principal.
• Organize and document regular school Wellness meetings with minutes.
• Record and report Wellness activities to the Child Nutrition Director.
• Attend County Wellness Council meetings and promote healthy activities.
• Evaluate alignment with county Wellness Policy via surveys.
