Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Awareness and sensitivity for children with special needs.
• Ability to work closely with the driver to ensure as safe and comfortable a ride as possible for students.
• Ability to relate to and work with elementary school age children.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure children are seated safely and remain seated during transport.
• Respond to any needs or problems with a child during transportation.
• Report behavior problems.
• Account for all children during pickup and drop-off.
• Know names and addresses of students on the route.
• Communicate with van driver, program staff and administration.
• Engage students positively during transport.
• Participate in training on student needs and safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
