Job summary

Van Pool Transportation LLC is seeking a Bus Aide to assist students boarding and alighting the bus and ensuring their safe arrival at destinations. The role supports the driver by maintaining a safe environment and assisting with seat belts and car seats.

You will monitor student behavior, report safety concerns, and communicate clearly with students, parents, teachers, and staff. This position offers 20-25 hours per week with paid training.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ required.
• Ability to pass a background check (CORI/SORI) and drug screen.
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Safely assist students as needed, including helping them enter and exit the vehicle and securely using seat belts and car seats.
• Monitor student behavior and provide guidance; report unsafe behavior to management and follow directions.
• Communicate clearly in English with students, parents, teachers, and Van Pool staff.
• Operate with effective interpersonal communication and use of Van Pool's radio system.
• Follow written and verbal directions from supervisors and work with students with special needs.
