Job summary

NRT Bus, Inc. is seeking a School Van Monitor to help transport students to school in the North Reading, MA area. The role offers part-time hours and pays $18.54 per hour, with split shifts from early morning to late afternoon and paid training.

Responsibilities include assisting students on and off the bus, ensuring proper use of seat belts and car seats, and reporting any safety concerns to management. Training is provided, and benefits are available through Beacon Mobility programs.

Qualifications

• Age 18+
• Background check, CORI/SORI, drug screen
• Effective communication in English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Safely assist students entering and exiting the vehicle and securing them with seat belts and car seats.
• Monitor student behavior and provide guidance, reporting unsafe behavior to management and following corrective steps.
• Communicate clearly in English with students, parents, teachers, and Van Pool staff.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills while using Van Pool's radio system.
• Possess physical ability to safely install car seats and booster seats.
• Follow written and verbal directions from supervisors.
• Show willingness to work with school-age children with special needs.
