Job summary

WE Transport LLC in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a part-time School Van Driver to transport students to and from school and events on a split AM/PM schedule. No nights, weekends, or holidays.

Paid training with no experience required, attendance and referral bonuses, and a benefits package for part-time staff. You’ll drive safely, perform pre/post trip inspections, and communicate professionally with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• Safe driving record and clean background check.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written.
• Must meet age and driving experience requirements.
• Willingness to obtain required pupil transport endorsement; training provided.
• Commitment to safety and reliability on school routes.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events.
• Assist students entering/exiting vehicle and use safety equipment as needed.
• Drive assigned routes and perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and report issues promptly.
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff.
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $17.00 /hour
• Schedule: Part time, split shift (AM/PM)
• Weekdays only - no nights, weekends, or holidays

What You'll Do

• Safely transport students to and from school and events
• May include assisting students enter/exit vehicle and using specialized safety equipment (belts, car seats, booster seats, etc )
• Drive assigned routes
• Perform pre trip and post trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies

Requirements

• School Pupil Transport License (V Endorsement) (or willingness to obtain - we train!)
• Safe driving record
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience
• Ability to pass background check , drug screening , & 7D physical
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken & written)
