Job summary

Dean Transportation in Otisville, MI is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to oversee office staff, drivers, attendants and monitors at the operation center, ensuring safe and reliable transportation for students and other passengers. Driving a school bus may be required, as needed.

You will establish routes, supervise employees, assist with hiring, and maintain billing records for field trips and attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in the school bus industry or transportation.
• Prior supervisory or management experience.
• Meet driving record check requirements.
• Meet criminal history check requirements.
• Meet DOT guidelines and physical exam requirements.
• Pass drug and alcohol screening.
• Complete Dean Transportation Bus Driver Training Program.
• Meet Michigan Bus Driver Certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and oversight to office staff, drivers, attendants and monitors.
• Establish safe and efficient transportation routes.
• Supervise Dean Transportation employees and provide leadership.
• Review and respond to passenger behavioral concerns.
• Interview, select and process applicants per hiring procedures.
• Prepare accurate billing information for field trips and logs.
• Organize and attend school bus training events.
• Perform other duties as required.
