Qualifications

• Minimum two years' successful experience in transportation, preferably pupil transportation.
• Experience supervising a school transportation program is desirable.
• Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and create school bus routes.
• Ability to work with staff, students and the public; respond during emergencies.
• Knowledge of computer operations and school transportation software.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains computerized database of bus routing and scheduling information.
• Generates schedules and routes for staff, schools and parents.
• Assist in computing and analyzing transportation expenses and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate transportation for special needs students with education staff.
• Coordinate coverage for after-school programs, field trips and activities.
• Organize and conduct driver and monitor inservice training.
• Keep records and prepare required reports.
• Evaluate staff as assigned.
• Assist with dispatching and scheduling as needed.
