Qualifications

• Valid NC driver license.
• Ability to maintain a school bus endorsement and DOT certification.
• Five years of experience in increasing levels of responsibility in school transportation.
• Computer literacy and operation of various software programs.
• Basic understanding of TIMS.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Payroll System.
• Knowledge of GPS System.
• Knowledge of Camera Systems.
• Knowledge of compliance issues related to NC school bus transportation.
• Knowledge of NC school law related to transportation.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instruction.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Driver Only employees.
• Acts as point of contact for drivers and monitors.
• Coordinates substitute coverage for drivers and monitors.
• Trains drivers in proper customer service techniques.
• Supervises bus drivers and performs Coordinator duties.
• Inspects buses for cleanliness and damage.
• Assists with planning annual bus rodeo and driver workshops.
• Schedules CDL training for new employees.
• Reviews TD2/TD2R data and time sheets using GPS.
