Job summary

• Valid Driver’s License; CDL with S/P endorsement required or obtainable within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily attendance and punctuality to meet transportation goals.
• Communicate schedules, route changes, and incidents to drivers and stakeholders.
• Compile data for reports and mandated requirements on routes, incidents and mileage.
• Schedule district vehicles for routes, field trips, athletics, and meetings.
• Develop driver schedules and workload, including special trips and training.
• Inform parents, teachers and admins about practices and incidents for follow-up actions.
• Manage bus drivers and monitors including onboarding, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Monitor time and attendance; resolve scheduling issues to ensure coverage.
• Participate in meetings and training to perform job functions effectively.
• Research traffic codes and regulations to keep district compliant.
• Respond to vehicle emergencies and recommend resolutions.
• Provide information to students, parents and community partners about routes and schedules.
• Perform other related duties to support transportation operations.
