Job summary

Summit School Services is seeking a Logistics Specialist to coordinate student transportation, assign drivers and vehicles, and maintain route integrity for timely service. You will support drivers, monitor operations, and ensure compliance with district and state requirements.

This role requires basic computer skills, map-reading ability, and strong communication to handle scheduling, emergencies, and stakeholder inquiries while maintaining high ethical standards and accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months related experience.
• Experience in logistics, dispatch or routing preferred.
• Ability to read maps and maintain records.
• Able to use routing software and basic computer tools.
• Strong communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily driver and vehicle assignments to cover routes.
• Communicates routing details to drivers to ensure on-time service.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates repairs.
• Maintains route records and documents in compliance with requirements.
• Provides excellent customer service to parents and staff.
