Job summary

American Leadership Academy in Kentucky is hiring a Transportation Mechanic to service our fleet and ensure safe operation of lawn equipment and small vehicles. You will diagnose, repair, and perform inspections to support daily routes and activities.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR/First Aid, and 3 years of vehicle maintenance experience. Physical work and pre-employment screenings are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record.
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• 3 years of experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Good physical condition to perform tasks requiring lifting and weather exposure.
• Provide a 39-month Motor Vehicle Record.
• Ability to complete Pre-employment Drug Screening.
• Ability to complete Physical Performance Testing.
• Ability to complete Physical Exam.
• Valid section 609 certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs on small vehicles and landscaping equipment.
• Inspections: perform daily inspections and set intervals for preventive maintenance.
• Record Keeping: Maintain records of maintenance, parts used, and labor hours.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure work complies with regulations.
• Tool Management: Manage tools and equipment for maintenance.
• Emergency Response: Be available for emergency repairs or breakdowns.
• Training: Participate in ongoing training on vehicle tech and safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
