Antioch Community Consolidated School District 34 is seeking a Traffic Controller to promote the safe and efficient movement of students, staff, parents, visitors, school buses, and vehicles during arrival, dismissal, and other school activities. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in traffic control, crossing guard services, security, public safety, customer service, or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct vehicle, bus, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic during arrival and dismissal times.
• Assist students, staff, and visitors in crossing streets, parking lots, and crosswalks safely.
• Monitor traffic flow to minimize congestion and maintain safe conditions on district property.
• Enforce parking, loading, and unloading procedures.
• Communicate courteously with parents, students, staff, visitors, and community members about traffic procedures.
• Observe and report unsafe conditions or violations to the administrator or law enforcement.
• Respond to emergencies by assisting with traffic control and following district procedures.
• Set up, reposition, and store traffic control devices as needed.
• Maintain awareness of weather conditions affecting traffic and safety.
• Complete incident reports and required documentation promptly.
