Metter is seeking a Substitute Nurse to support school health services and ensure student well-being. The role provides routine medical care to students and assists staff under district guidelines.

You will collaborate with school personnel to maintain health standards and respond to medical needs on campus. The substitute nurse will handle emergencies, administer medications per procedures, and coordinate with health departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary nursing education.
• Georgia LPN or RN license is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and staff with routine medical needs.
• Respond to emergency medical situations at the school.
• Assess health issues and determine next steps.
• Provide health education and health promotion to students and staff.
• Administer and manage medication per school procedures.
• Support vision, hearing, dental and scoliosis screening referrals.
