Qualifications

• Valid Missouri license to practice as an RN, LPN, EMT, or Nursing Assistant for the current year.

Responsibilities

• Promotes prevention, treatment, and wellness of students and staff via early detection and referral.
• Follows orders for first aid and emergency care per health manuals and policies.
• Maintains a safe, healthy school environment and participates in disaster drills.
• Identifies and excludes students/staff with communicable diseases per policy.
• Reports suspected child abuse to the Division of Family Services Hot Line and to school officials.
• Maintains confidentiality of health records and clinic logs.
• Follows emergency action plans for students with special health needs.
• Monitors medication administration and follows narcotic/regulatory procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
